Martina Janková, the Swiss soprano with CzechRoots, has been a member of the Zurich OperaHouse since 1998 and is one of the leading Mozartinterpreters of today. Her performances in scenicproductions of the Mozart/Da Ponte operas inZurich and Cleveland with Franz Welser-Möst and atthe Salzburg Festival were highly praised.In May 2014 Martina Janková had great success ina new production of The Cunning Little Vixen withthe Cleveland Orchestra and Franz Welser-Möst.In 2016, she made her debut at Milan´s La Scalawith Handel´s Il trionfo del Tempo e del Disinganno/Bellezza and sang the title role of Mozart’s Il rèpastore with William Christie. May 2017 sawher debut as Mélisande in Debussy’s Pelléas etMélisande, again with the Cleveland Orchestra andFranz Welser-Möst.Additional engagements have taken her to theThéâtre des Champs-Elysées in Paris, the PragueNational Theatre and State Opera and the GrandThéâtre de Genève. She gave recitals in London,Prague, Geneva, Graz, Salzburg and Zurich.Highlights of the 2017/2018 season areperformances of Janáček´s The Cunning Little Vixenwith the Cleveland Orchestra under Franz Welser-Möst in Cleveland, Vienna and Luxemburg as well aswith the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra andFranz Welser-Möst in Munich, Handel´s Messiahin Lyon, a tour with Gustav Wasa by Koželuh withthe Helsinki Baroque Orchestra and Brahms´ EinDeutsches Requiem with the Brno Philharmonic.Her numerous CD releases include several solorecitals, the most recent being the album Prague-Vienna with music from 18th-century Prague.Further records are Moravian Folk Songs by LeošJanáček and Bach’s Cantatas with the Collegium1704 under Václav Luks. The DVD of the SalzburgFestival´s production of Le Nozze di Figaro wasreleased in summer 2016 with Martina Janková asSusanna.
