Christoph Eschenbach is in demand as a distinguished guestconductor with the finest orchestras and opera houses throughoutthe world (Vienna, Berlin, Paris, London, New York, Boston, Chicago,Los Angeles, Milan, Roma, Munich, Dresden, Leipzig, Madrid, Tokyo,Shanghai, etc.).Maestro Eschenbach is currently chief conductor designedof the Konzerthaus Orchester Berlin and in June 2017 he receivedthe title of Conductor Laureate of the National Symphony Orchestraafter having served seven years as its music director (2010–2017).He was also music director of the Orchestre de Paris (2000–2010),the Philadelphia Orchestra (2003–2008), the NDR Symphony Orchestra(1998–2004) and the Houston Symphony (1988–1999).He is regularly invited to perform at prestigious music festivals includingSalzburg, Prague, Tanglewood, Ravinia, Schleswig-Holstein, Rheingau,Saint Petersburg, and Granada.A prolific recording artist over five decades, Eschenbach has animpressive discography as both a conductor and a pianist on a numberof prominent labels.
