The Ludwig van Beethoven Association has funded prizes for laureates of the First National Bogdan Paprocki Vocal Competition, which ended in Bydgoszcz.
The First National Bogdan Paprocki Vocal Competition was held from 12 to 17 November 2019 at Opera Nova in Bydgoszcz, the second largest opera house in Poland. The Competition was organized by the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz, the Bogdan Paprocki Association, and Opera Nova.
Two joint prizes from the President of the Ludwig van Beethoven Association, Ms Elżbieta Penderecka went to Ms Bożena Bujnicka (soprano) and Mr Łukasz Załęski (tenor). The artists were invited to participate in the forthcoming 24th edition of the Ludwig van Beethoven Easter Festival, which will take place from 29 March to 10 April 2020 in Warsaw. During the Competition Gala, the Ludwig van Beethoven Association was represented by Ms Cornelia Much, the Deputy Artistic Director.
