Mrs Elżbieta Penderecka, President of the Ludwig van Beethoven Association, received a medal from the Marshal of the Małopolskie Voivodeship, Mr Jacek Krupa and Chairwoman of the Małopolskie Voivodeship Assembly, Ms Urszula Nowogórska. We can read in the award declaration: “For Mrs Elżbieta Penderecka, with gratitude for the cultural development of Małopolska through support of the European Centre for Music in Lusławice and the Music Centre in Kraków, the organization of twenty Beethoven Easter Festivals, and contribution to the creation of new orchestras, Sinfonietta Cracovia and Beethoven Academy Orchestra.”
