Joanna Wnuk-Nazarowa awarded the Order of the White Eagle

Member of the Board of the Ludwig van Beethoven Association and Member of the Programme Council of the Ludwig van Beethoven Easter Festival, Joanna Wnuk-Nazarowa was awarded the Order of the White Eagle. The awarding committee recognised her contribution to Polish culture, her outstanding achievements in artistic and pedagogical work, her activities to disseminate the achievements of domestic musical culture and her consistent support for active participation in it.

Joanna Wnuk-Nazarowa is a composer, conductor and teacher. In the years 1997-1999 she was the Minister of Culture and Art, and for many years worked as the General and Programme Director of the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra in Katowice. As a Member of the Board of the Ludwig van Beethoven Association and a Member of the Programme Council of the Ludwig van Beethoven Easter Festival, she is committed to the promotion of Polish musical culture.
