Professor Krzysztof Penderecki was nominated for a Grammy in the category of “Best Choral Performance” for the album “Penderecki Conducts Penderecki. Volume 1”. The CD contains the first studio recording of the composer with the Choir and Orchestra of the National Philharmonic. The album tracks: “Dies Illa”, which premiered at the international concert in Brussels, commemorating the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of World War I, as well as new interpretations of the Psalms of David, Hymne of St. Daniel and St. Adalbert. The recording was made with the participation of soloists: Johanna Rusanen (soprano), Agnieszka Rehlis (mezzo-soprano) and Nikolay Didenko (bass). The premiere took place on 3 June 2016.
