She studied singing at the Academy of Music in Krakow and Wroc\u0142aw, and has taught singing at the latter since 2010.<\/p>\n<p>She is a recipient of a special award and a scholarship from the Minister of Culture and National Heritage (2007) and the Gloria Artis Bronze Medal (2010). She was also nominated for the Golden Mask Theatre Award of the Silesian Region for the year 2012.<\/p>\n<p>Her operatic repertoire includes a number of leading parts in such masterpieces as Moniuszko\u2019s <em>Halka<\/em>, Mozart\u2019s <em>The Magic Flute, <\/em>Bizet\u2019s <em>Carmen<\/em>, Strauss\u2019s <em>Die Fledermaus<\/em>, Offenbach\u2019s <em>The Tales of Hoffmann<\/em>, Verdi\u2019s <em>Othello<\/em>, <em>Don Carlos<\/em>, and <em>Il trovatore<\/em>, Puccini\u2019s <em>Tosca<\/em>, and Wagner\u2019s <em>The Valkyrie<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>She also performs symphonic and oratorio music, including G\u00f3recki\u2019s <em>Symphony No. 3<\/em>, Mahler\u2019s <em>Symphony No. 2<\/em> and <em>No. 8<\/em>, Verdi\u2019s <em>Messa da Requiem<\/em>, Szymanowski\u2019s <em>Stabat Mater<\/em>, Beethoven\u2019s <em>Symphony No. 9<\/em>, and Penderecki\u2019s <em>Credo<\/em> and <em>Symphony No. 8 \u201cSongs of Transience\u201d<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Ewa Vesin has participated in numerous international festivals and has collaborated with many opera theatres and philharmonic orchestras. She has worked under outstanding conductors such as Krzysztof Penderecki, Jacek Kaspszyk, Valery Gergiev, Alexander Liebreich, Paul McCreesh, Benjamin Shwartz, Tadeusz Struga\u0142a, \u0141ukasz Borowicz, Micha\u0142 Klauza, Tadeusz Koz\u0142owski, Tadeusz Serafin, Marek Pijarowski, and Wojciech Rodek.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ewa Vesin started her singing career when still a student, with a debut in Mozart\u2019s The Magic Flute at the Wroc\u0142aw Opera (2003).
