Studied at the Royal College of Music.\u00a0She is a member of the Frankfurt Opera Ensemble, where her roles this season include Atalanta in a new production of <em>Xerxes<\/em> and her first Gilda\/<em>Rigoletto<\/em>. She is also singing Zerlina\/<em>Don Giovanni<\/em> for Glyndebourne on Tour and making her debut with the Welsh National Opera as Sophie in a new production of <em>Der Rosenkavalier<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Recent successes have included Lucia\/<em>The Rape of Lucretia<\/em> at the Glyndebourne Festival; Ilia\/<em>Idomeneo<\/em> for Garsington Opera; Euridice in Luigi Rossi\u2019s <em>Orpheus<\/em> for the Royal Opera; Rapunzel\/<em>Into the Woods<\/em> for the Th\u00e9\u00e2tre du Ch\u00e2telet in Paris and Susanna\/<em>Le nozze di Figaro<\/em>, Cleopatra\/<em>Giulio Cesare<\/em>, Sophie\/<em>Der Rosenkavalier<\/em>, the title role in <em>The Cunning Little Vixen<\/em> and Gretel\/<em>H\u00e4nsel und Gretel<\/em> for the Frankfurt Opera.<\/p>\n<p>Future seasons include further roles in Frankfurt, returns to Garsington Opera, the Glyndebourne Festival and her debut for the Teatro Real in Madrid.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Louise Alder &#8211; soprano.
