Concerts to celebrate 25.annivesary of the relations between Macedonia and Poland

Makedonissimo is the musicial project introducing transcriptions of Macedonian traditional music by Pande Shahov in collaboration with Simon Trpčeski.

Macedonian folk music is appreciated by ethnomusicologists and audiences around the world. For a relatively small geographic region, Macedonia has produced an outstanding wealth of songs and dances, characterised by intricate rhythmic patterns, as well as a diversity of melodic and choreographic features.

Simon Trpčeski- Macedonian pianist has established himself as one of the most remarkable musicians to have emerged in recent years, praised not only for his impeccable technique and delicate expression but also for his warm personality and commitment to strengthening Macedonia’s reputation in the arts. In September 2011 he became the first ever recipient of the title National Artist of the Republic of Macedonia.

On the occasion of 100. anniversary of Poland’s Independence, Simon Trpčeski has added three Polish pieces to the program.
