Holder of an Erasmus scholarshipto the Vocal Class of Professor Lars Woldtat the Hochschule für Musik Detmold, he has recentlygraduated from doctoral studies at the Vocal Facultyof the Academy of Music in Wrocław. The artist alsohoned his skills at masterclasses with Teresa Żylis-Gara,Andrzej Dobber, Anita Garanča, Valery Buymister, LarsWoldt, Sabina Martinaitytė, and Zdzisław Krzywicki.Winner of 1st Prize at the Franciszka Platówna NationalVocal Competition in Wrocław, 2nd prizes at theInternational Vocal Competition in Kyiv in Ukraineand the Karol Kurpiński National Competition inWłoszakowice, and 3rd Prize and Special Award at theInternational Vocal Competition in Kaunas in Lithuania.He participates in the Opera Academy Young TalentsDevelopment Programme at the Teatr Wielki in Warsawwhich is part of the European Network of OperaAcademies.Butryn has performed in Poland and abroad,participating in the BBC Proms in London, Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival in Kiel, the Wratislavia CantansInternational Festival, the Leo Festival in Wrocław, andthe Opera Rara Festival in Kraków.Holder of scholarships from the Minister of Culture andNational Heritage and the Mayor of Wrocław.
