Szymon Komasa graduated with distinction from the Academy of Music in Łódź. He is also a graduateof the Juilliard School and the opera studio of the Metropolitan Opera in New York. Winner and recipientof accolades at international vocal competitions, notablythe BBC Cardiff Singer of the World, the Veronica Dunne,and the Gerda Lissner, he has sung on the stages of operatheatres in the United States, Italy, Germany, the UnitedKingdom, and Austria. He has also performed recitalsat the Carnegie Hall in the US and the Wigmore Hallin the UK. In 2015 Komasa was nominated to the PassportAward of the Polish national weekly Polityka.
