Marie Arnet. Swedish soprano Marie Arnet studied at the Royal Academy of Music and the National Opera Studio, London. Her many roles include Diane/Iphigénie en Aulide, Ilia/Idomeneo and Drusilla/L’incoronazione di Poppea (Glyndebourne Festival Opera), Susanna/Le Nozze di Figaro (Glyndebourne Festival, English National Opera, Netherlands Opera), Sophie/Der Rosenkavalier and Giulietta/I Capuleti e I Montecchi (Opera North), Eurydice/Orphée et Eurydice and Dori in Salieri’s La Grotta di Trofonio (Opéra de Lausanne), Pamina/Die Zauberflöte (Teatro Real Madrid, Los Angeles Opera, Spoleto Festival, Angers-Nantes Opéra), Mélisande/Pelléas et Mélisande (Glyndebourne Festival, La Scala), Ilia/Idomeneo (Glyndebourne Festival, Hamburg State Opera, Liceu Barcelona), Belinda/Dido and Aeneas (La Scala), Xenia/Boris Godunov, Ginevra/Ariodante (Liceu Barcelona), Despina/Così fan tutte (Royal Opera Stockholm) and Harey in the premiere of Glanert’s Solaris at the Bregenz Festival.

Recent engagements include the title role in Lulu, Wendy in Richard Ayres’s Peter Pan and Susanna in the premiere of Elena Langer’s Figaro gets a Divorce (Welsh National Opera); Cheshire Cat/Alice in Wonderland (Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra) and Anne Trulove/The Rake’s Progress in Caen, Rouen, Reims, Luxembourg and Limoges. Upcoming engagements include The Brothers, a new commission by Daníel Bjarnason for Den Jyske Opera, and a revival of Figaro gets a Divorce in Geneva.
