Krzysztof Kusiel –Moroz

A graduate of the Warsaw Academy of Music in the conducting class of Stanisław Wisłocki, he also studied choral conducting with Ryszard Zimak. Since 1990, he has taught at his alma mater and is the leader of its mixed choir. From 1994 to 1999, he was artistic director of the Men’s Choir of the Harfa Singing Society, and in 1990 he founded Warsaw Boys’ Choir attached to the Academy of Music. As its artistic director, he contributes to the ensemble’s successes on Polish and international concert stages. As choirmaster, he has performed many times at the Wratislavia Cantans Festival and performed concerts in Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, France, Japan, China, and the United States.

The artist has conducted many Polish and foreign symphony orchestras, and is also active as a composer. He has made numerous recordings, released on such labels as Naxos and Bridge Records, and Crumb’s oratorio Star-Child with the Warsaw Boys’ Choir won a Grammy Award in 2001.

A member of juries at an array of Polish and international choral and conducting competitions, he also runs choirmaster workshops in Poland and abroad.
