Janina Baechle is a regular guest on theinternational opera and concert stages where sheperforms the important roles of her repertoire withgreat success.After being a member of the ensembles of theStaatstheater Braunschweig and Hannover, she joinedthe ensemble of the Wiener Staatsoper until 2010.Since then she has regularly returned to this company,e.g. as Ježibaba/Rusalka, Brangäne/Tristan undIsolde, Fricka, Erda, Waltraute/Ring des Nibelungen,Gertrud/Hänsel und Gretel and most recently in 2017as Filipjewna/Eugen Onegin, Genevieve/Pelléas etMélisande and Kabanicha/Katja Kabanowa.Upcoming projects include Gaea/Daphne, Herodias/Salome and Erda at the Wiener Staatsoper, Erda/Rheingold at the Semperoper Dresden, Annina/Rosenkavalier with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestraas well as Mahler´s Symphony No. 8 (TonkünstlerOrchester/A.Orozco-Estrada, DortmunderPhilharmoniker/G.Feltz, Netherlands PhilharmonicOrchestra/M.Albrecht), Schönberg´s Lied derWaldtaube (Klangforum Wien), Wesendonck-Lieder(Staatsorchester Kassel/ F.Angelico), Verdi’s Requiem(National Polish Radio Orchestra/K.Penderecki).Besides the Wiener Staatsoper, engagements haveled her to the State Operas in Dresden, Hamburg,and Munich, the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona,the Opéra national de Bordeaux, the Opéra de Lyon,the Scala di Milano, the Opéra national de Paris, theThéâtre du Capitole de Toulouse and the opera housesin Buenos Aires, San Francisco, Toronto, and to theEdinburgh Festival.In concert, she has performed with the Dortmunder,Dresdner, Münchner, Stuttgarter and WienerPhilharmoniker, the New York Philharmonic, the BRSymphonie- and Rundfunkorchester, the Hamburgerand Wiener Symphoniker, the Helsinki PhilharmonicOrchestra, the HR Sinfonieorchester, the RSOWien, the Beethoven Orchester Bonn and the NDRRadiophilharmonie.
