Bernarda Fink

Bernarda Fink, daughter of Slovenian parents,was born in Buenos Aires and received her musicaleducation at the Instituto Superior de Arte del TeatroColón. A sought-after concert and recital singer, sheis acclaimed for her musical versatility. Her repertoireranges from ancient music up to works of the 20thcentury. She frequently appears with the Vienna andBerlin Philharmonic Orchestras, London Philharmonic,Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, Cleveland Orchestra,the best known Baroque orchestras and many others,under Barenboim, Blomstedt, Bychkov, Chailly,Gardiner, Gergiev, Jacobs, Jansons, Muti, Norrington,Pinnock, Prêtre, Rattle, Saraste and Welser-Möst.On stage, Bernarda Fink has appeared to criticalacclaim in Argentina and at the main opera houses inEurope. Highlights include Mozart’s Cecilio/Lucio Silla(Theater an der Wien), Idamante/Idomeneo (TeatroReal, Madrid) and Handel’s Irene/Theodora (SalzburgFestival). In 2017 we saw her debut at the ViennaState Opera in Debussy’s Pelléas et Mélisande. Sheregularly appears in recitals and concerts in Vienna,Schwarzenberg, Amsterdam, London, Berlin, New Yorkand Buenos Aires.Highlights of the 2017/2018 concert season includeMahler’s 2nd Symphony with Andris Nelsons inthe Tanglewood Festival, Pergolesi’s Stabat Materin Rome, concerts of Mahler’s 2nd Symphony withMariss Jansons in Copenhagen, with Jakub Hrůša inBamberg and at the Ludwig van Beethoven Festival inWarsaw, as well as a tour through South America withCamerata Salzburg.Many of her recordings have been awarded prizesincluding the Diapason d’Or and Grammy. She wasawarded the Austrian Honorary Medal for Art andScience, and together with her brother Marcos Fink,the most prestigious cultural award of Sloveniasponsored by the Prešeren Foundation. In September2014 she received the title of ÖsterreichischeKammersängerin.
